After leaving her job selling veterinary pharmaceuticals, Kathy trained and qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor. From the moment she started training, she knew she had found her niche and wanted to be the best she possibly can be. She spent the first few years working with learner drivers at Learner Driving Centres (LDC), until they later recruited her on to the ORDIT register as an ADI Trainer.
Kathy always knew she wanted to run her own driving school so she went out to better herself and has trained with many ADI and Coaching industry experts such as John Farlam, Phil Hirst, Sir John Whitmore and Dr Jonathan Passmore. Her list of CPD is vast, here are a few of her recent qualifications:
Kathy has recently been awarded her Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching for Driver Development from the University of East London, a qualification which very few people in the UK currently hold. She is a committee member of the MSA North West and secretary of the IMTD (Institute of Master Tutors of Driving).
Kathy has won 2 prestigious awards: "Merseyside Women Making a Difference" in 2005 and "Best Woman in Business" in 2007. Kathy featured in 'ADI News' in 2009 and she has also appeared in the DSA's Despatch magazine (October 2007 & March 2010).
