There are other academic coaching courses available, but our workshop has been developed specifically for ADI's by ADI's so from personal experience, we can show you precisely how to use coaching techniques in your day-to-day work.
Ged Wilmot & Claire Wilmot of Active Driving Solutions have teamed up with Kathy Higgins of Insight 2 Drive to develop an interactive one day coaching workshop for driving instructors from all areas of the industry. So whether your expertise is in working with novice, advanced or fleet drivers or with Potential Driving Instructors, this workshop will significantly enhance your line of work and the enjoyment and motivation of all of your clients.
We will provide you with an insight into coaching and its benefits and together we explore the skills of a good driver coach. Through active group work and lots of video demonstrations, we also take a look at the various coaching techniques you can use as a driving instructor, including scaling, perceptual positions, active listening and cognitive-behavioural models such as the VIP technique and Six Thinking Hats. A workbook is provided for you to complete the individual and group exercises, and handouts consolidate the whole learning event.
All delegates receive a Certificate of Attendance and full guidance on how to correctly record evidence of their CPD.
